SSP CO.,LTD. (SS Seiyaku) has released a real time flu map called, “kazemiru” (requires Flash) based on Japanese tweets over the past 24 hours from each prefectures, categorized to; sore throat, runny nose, ague, headache, cough, and fever.

According to SSP and Nielsen report as of August 2010, Japanese twitter users are over 10 million, and approx. half of them indicate where they live (prefectures, cities). And tweets mentioning flu (or kaze in Japanese) counts from 8,000 to 15,000 times per day.
